Shaded park with playground for kids and other fun activities.
This event is to reflect on and honor all of our participants and supporters that shared and gave their love in service to others.
June 28th 2015 The Skook Recovers became a reality. Our mission was a simple idea to inspire hope and peel back the stigma of addiction in Schuylkill County. We pulled together over 20 people who have opened their lives up for others to see. With so many inspirational words, came a large number or reach outs, and people who found new inspiration to either get clean or to continue to fight hard for their recoveries.
For one year we traveled around, spoke, inspired, networked, made ourselves available, and became involved in our communities.
And equally as important, our communities became involved with us.
This event is to celebrate 1 year of inspiration and what we feel is truly just the beginning of our efforts. Come, join us at the beautiful, shaded Hegins Park where kids can play freely.
Feel free to bring a covered dish for other's to enjoy.
We will have The Skook Recovers T-shirts for sale.
We are also going to provide information on local resources and addiction services in our area.
Come anytime after 10 to register and participate in the silent auction which will end at 4 pm.
We will be located in the covered eating house while also using the pavilion and small stage area.
